Sadly, after Thanksgiving we received word from my Mom's husband that she had passed away from a massive heart attack. Contact with her husband answered some questions and left others unanswered. I took some bereavement time off this week for quiet reflection and time with family. I received the lovely rose/carnation/tiger lilly arrangement from my current work unit and the equally lovely live plant arrangement from my previous work unit... I am truly touched and humbled by the caring thoughts and sympathy of all of the great folks with whom I work. I got part one done; the time with family was mainly by phone though we're all local.. as I was sporting another round of cough and cold and was spending part of my time off in a Robitussin and Hall's Menthol induced stupor. In deference to my senior parents, I stay away when I'm carrying cold and flu bugs and they appreciate it. Besides, I'll get to spend time with Dad in Kauai next month for sure :) Memories of Mom... ...
