It's only October, but we had a mini Christmas celebration today. Mama wanted An Evening with Gershwin by the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. We had a bit of a challenge with parking since Valet was full; took the long way around Dallas to get home; and learned there is limited AC on the Grand Tier deck to counteract Texas sunshine streaming thru the beautiful glass at the Meyerson. The concert was wonderful; Kevin Cole was amazing on piano. Afterwards, we stopped at BJ's Brewhouse for dinner (in the last 10 minutes of what would turn out as a 51-48 Denver over Cowboys home loss) followed by DQ for a chocolate dipped cone to top off Mama's Christmas Concert gift. It was a lovely afternoon and evening! I like this new tradition of finding a concert or play to attend. My trip will be Rudolph the Musical and we are going Dutch to see A Christmas Carol.
