Welcome Family & Friends... my how the summer is flying on by!   It's time for another VC Rocks Blog Hop.  This month we are Rocking our Creativity with Fun Folds or 3D projects.   My project is 3D and it required folding... it also uses the new product that will be available with the Holiday Mini catalog - a gift box punchboard!   The gift box punchboard allows you to quickly and easily make 16 different sized boxes from paper 6x6 which makes a 1.75 inch cube to 12x12 which makes a 4x4 cube. Please leave a comment by 10pm Central, Sunday July 27 for a random drawing to win some goodies from my stash of Stampin' Up! fun stuff. Come back Aug 23-24  for our final hop of the 2014 VC Rocks season and we will Rock your Creativity with Stampin’ Up! 2013 VC Rocks Blog Hop 3

Welcome back to Loni's Life and another Blog Hop with VC Rocks !  One of the great swaps we do at VC Rocks is a Virtual Roommate Swap aimed at those not attending the Stampin' Up! convention.    Just like with an in-person at Convention hotel roommate, we do a small gift box swap of goodies with our Roomie. This year the requirements were at a minimum 3 hand-stamped cards, 1 non-card stamped item, and 1 item to go with our Hotel Floor theme either Pearl or Rhinestone.   I was on the Rhinestone floor. I am usually at a loss for non-card ideas, but with a little help from YouTube, SplitCoastStampers, and Stampin' Connection, I found quite a few projects to do and I'll be sharing them this weekend. First up is a cute gift box that is made from a 12x12 sheet of designer series paper.   This box really can hold quite a large sized item (Vintage buttons shown).   You can make a bunch up ahead of say Christmas holiday and store them flat!   They really ...

VC Rocks - Hostess Gift of Chocolate

I was inspired by Stace's Hostess gift  and went back to an  old favorite tutorial on Splitcoast Stampers and played with some sneak peek items from the upcoming 2013-14 Idea Book & Catalog.  The box base is in Island Indigo and decorated with Gingham Garden Designer Series Paper; Label Love image stamped in Island Indigo ink on Naturals White cardstock and punched using the coordinating Artisan Label punch, Stampin' Dimensionals.  This mini-box fits 4 Ghiradelli chocolate squares perfectly.  Leave a happy comment by Wednesday 5/22 10PM Central and Tazzy will pick a Blog Candy winner on Thursday.

VCRocks Blog Hop - Hostess Gifts

Welcome to Loni's Life and the first of 4 Blog Hops to celebrate VC Rocks this summer!  This hop features Hostess Gifts and Booking Incentives just in time for the new 2013-14 Idea Book and Catalog launch on June 1st!  Here's a terrific little gift using Stampin' Up! fabric :) 1- You will need 3 pieces of fabric at 4" x 5 3/4"  and 2 pieces at 4" x 4"; the SU fabric packages work great because you get 3 coordinating fabrics in one package and you can cut several of these at once (especially if you have a wonderful quilting friend) 2 - You will fold the 4x4 pieces in half (right sides out) and finger press to 2 x 4; you will take the 2 pieces of 4 x 5 3/4 in the coordinating fabrics that are different from the 4x4 pieces and fold in half to 2 x 5 3/4 with the right sides facing out and finger press.    (Or if you have a wonderful quilting friend helping you, you can get all fancy and hot press with an iron if you choose) 3. Now...

My Digital Studio - Alaska

In honor of National Scrapbooking weekend as well as the VC Rocks Warm Up Blog Hop, I've used Stampin' Up's My Digital Studio to create a quick scrapbook of memories of our 2012 Family Cruisetour of Alaska.   Digital scrapbooking and pre-programmed layouts can make scrapbooking quick and easy!  This entire project took me less than an hour!    One tip I would give you in this digital age is to take lots and lots of photos, it will give you lots of options from which to choose.   And for those of you feeling too fat to be photographed, please go read this blog post at My Friend Teresa Photography to help give you new perspective. Return to the VC Rocks home page to view other great projects this weekend and tune in tomorrow for our first regular season Project Challenge (posted weekly on Mondays) Leave a nice comment to this post by 10pm Sunday 5/5 and you will be eligible to win some Blog Candy; winner will be announced on Mocha Monday tomorrow. ...
