A 5AM forecast of 80% rain from 7 to 11 and a check of the radar of a huge green and red swath headed towards Wichita Falls had me err on the side of caution and back to bed after BFF picked up McD breakfast. A couple more hours of sleep and some daylight showed partly sunny skies and an open day on my schedule... so a quick check of the map to see what kind of yarn shops might be in Oklahoma City. Consulted with BFF who was game for a road trip so long as in OKC we could find a Starbucks for her to study at whilst I visited shops and a stop at a casino on the way back to Texas... sold. So, off we headed to OKC and the weather on the drive up was fairly good. We had a lovely lunch at Olive Garden and then found a Starbucks to make BFF's home base for a few hours of study time. I went to Carol's Knitting Studio first.. it was way off the beaten track; relatively small; and I don't think their stock moves very quickly (old and faded tags)...
