OMW - Intro

OMW Intro I don't even need a minute for today's prompt:   My name is Loni, and I'm a yarnoholic, stampoholic, and chocoholic. ~~~ I love yarn; especially for knitting; though I will throw in a bit of crochet here or there.   My Local Yarn Store is The Woolie Ewe . I love rubber stamping; though it is not as portable as my knitting.    Check out my store . I love chocolate... from Hershey's to Godiva; Ghiradelli to Plain M&M's.

OMW: Ruler

OMW: Ruler   Ok, didn't even need a whole minute to think of this one... while many in my life would be qualified for the position, I'd pick Mama C to be my Top Advisor if I were Supreme Ruler of the World.  She's quite knowledgeable about many things; what she doesn't know about she researches; and she's a grand delegator.  She's also the best debater of anyone I know and can argue a point from many sides and assist in finding creative solutions.

OMW - Butterflies

OMW - Butterflies I get butterflies if I have to do a speech or presentation for class or work (depending on the Audience). I hate having to get up and speak in front of an audience.... Butterflies get so bad they border on nausea-inducing butterflies, Boo!

OMW Rediscovery

Rediscovery I'd love to re-discover how my body fits and feels in size 10 jeans... sigh, lots of hard work ahead to make that happen since apparently Santa doesn't deliver the instant Barbie body.. instead, he delivers workout videos, gym memberships, heart rate monitors, etc.

OMW - Career

http://oneminutewriter.blogspot.com/2010/01/todays-writing-prompt-career.html Hmm.. interesting question.. if salary would remain equal or be greater than my current salary, then my 2010 career would be to work as a knitting tester for some designer and/or yarn company that provides oodles of yarn for my stash.

OMW Kids

http://oneminutewriter.blogspot.com/2009/10/todays-writing-prompt-kids.html My "kids" have been furry and four-legged... so mainly my biggest annoyance with others who have kids of the human variety is when they talk down to me like I have an unfulfilled life because I only have fur-babies -or- when they try to convince me why I should have kids.. or at this age, adopt or foster kids.   I enjoy kids and I enjoy being an Auntie... I get the benefits of spending time with young ones and I get to escape from them when they get on my nerves.    My only other peeve with others who have human kids is lack of parenting and appropriate disciplining behaviors such that their children act correctly in public at least most of the time... oh, I understand the occassional meltdown and whatnot.... but some kids nowadays are just bratty and impolite in public.

Warning

http://oneminutewriter.blogspot.com/2009/09/todays-writing-prompt-warning.html Took me about a minute to think of what kind of Warning sign would need to apply to me.. and then aha, it came to me... Warning: This person asks ( ok , perhaps even begs) for money for charity via many electronic portals-email, blog, facebook , twitter, myspace , etc. It's all for a wide-range of worthy charitable causes and she puts her body on the line on her bike or in her sneakers to raise these funds. Give her some money to support a charity or two or three or how ever many she is cycling or walking for, and don't forget to take your charitable tax deductions too! Ok , you've been warned and now here is the "Asking"... or "Begging" whichever you choose to call it ~~~~~~ Bike MS - May 2010 -- National MS Society Tour de Cure - San Antonio to Austin 2-day - May 2010 American Diabetes Association Tour de Cure - Dallas-Ft Worth - September 2009 American Diabetes As...

Coat of Arms

http://oneminutewriter.blogspot.com/2009/09/todays-writing-prompt-coat-of-arms.html Hmm.. a coat of arms with symbols that represent me... hmm... most definitely a kitty! a bicycle, something with rubber stamps, knitting needles, palm trees, books, chocolate, and bunny slippers, a heart, a butterfly, and intertwined circles.

Home

http://oneminutewriter.blogspot.com/2009/08/todays-writing-prompt-home.html After returning home from a vacation, I'm pretty much happy to be back home. It's nice to vacation and all; but home is home. The only thing nicer would be if I won the lotto or had some previously unknown relative that was super-rich and left me enough money to never have to work again :)

Giggle

http://oneminutewriter.blogspot.com/2009/07/todays-writing-prompt-giggle.html Hmm... my BFF is often a great source of giggles, especially when we are together. Just the thought of her and the chickens on Poipu Beach, Kauai makes me giggle. Cluck, cluck, cluck... ROFL!

Medicine

http://oneminutewriter.blogspot.com/2009/07/todays-writing-prompt-medicine.html Besides laughter, I find that quality time with family and friends is great medicine. Also, knitting, rubber stamping, and cycling. A good hot bubble bath with a diet coke and some good chocolate also does a fine job of curing the blues.

Trait

http://oneminutewriter.blogspot.com/2009/07/todays-writing-prompt-trait.html That's an easy one... If I had children, I'd hope and pray that they would not inherit the 'fat genes' and the accompanying struggles that go with them.

Friend

http://oneminutewriter.blogspot.com/2009/06/todays-writing-prompt-friend.html I'm fun, loyal, honest, and trustworthy. Have a variety of interests from cycling to knitting, rubber stamping to reading. Am also interested in what my dearest friends do and enjoy.

Father

http://oneminutewriter.blogspot.com/2009/06/todays-writing-prompt-father.html Hmm... lots of extras in the "mother" role department, but none that I can think of other than my dear Dad in the father department.

Work

http://oneminutewriter.blogspot.com/2009/06/todays-writing-prompt-work.html The hardest work I've ever done is helping my DH lay tile at my MIL's rented house in the freezing cold of january... yeah try dealing with cranky husband cutting tiles with the wet tile cutter thingie in lower-than-freezing temperatures. Never, ever, ever again... ever.

Mail

http://oneminutewriter.blogspot.com/2009/06/todays-writing-prompt-mail.html too easy... would want it to be a real , valid check with 'illions' in it.. that would be the best ever.

Relative

http://oneminutewriter.blogspot.com/2009/06/todays-writing-prompt-relative.html Haha... easy one.. my "twin" sister... of course, she's married though and has a doogle; so it would have to be a package deal.
