Young Love

I was blessed today to get to witness two of my young friends, Sarah and Stewart, join their lives in marriage.  It was a beautiful ceremony with a great blend of traditional and modern contemporary.   I am sure that Sarah's cheeks must have been sore by the end of the day for she was rarely without a smile.   Stewart had plenty of smiles of his own.  I am happy for the pair of them and look forward to watching their love for one another deepen and grow. 

Knitting and Marriage

Marriage is a lot like knitting.. in that you have to work at it to get a nice resulting fabric.   Occasionally, you mess up and have to unstitch and re-stitch.   And I guess, sometimes you just have to give up on a project because it is not going at all well.   Though most of the time it's just not in me to give up on a project...  There was one toddler lace sundress pattern got the better of me in my early ambitions of a beginner knitter.. and I haven't picked that one back up mainly because the toddler I was knitting it for is now nearly 6 (WHAT??!!!) I am having a hard time though letting go of my marriage.. even though feels a lot like a knitting project that had to be pulled off needles and put back in the project queue for another day.  Only in this case, it's a project that won't be picked up to be re-knit... and maybe it really doesn't deserve to be re-knit.... I mean, wouldn't mind having to rebuild a different and ...
