A Nice Easter

I had a very nice Easter weekend... yesterday, I went to JC and had a small loss and re-framed some goals for the next 6 weeks leading to Alaska.    I went on a certain healing Quest and successfully completed that mission.   I spoiled the youngest with some of his favorite candies and put some Andes bunnies in the freezer for Mama.    I spent the evening with Mama and Hunter and lots of laughter as we watched Better Off Dead; 2 episodes of Batman & Robin; and 1 of Lost in Space.   Hunter's commentary is hilarious.       I wished Dad a very happy birthday... a good Saturday indeed. Today, I  started off the day with breakfast at Mama's with Hunter and BFF was able to come share the morning before she flew out to California on business.   Pancakes were yummy as always; and the secret to Hunter getting pretty pancakes is a thoroughly pre-heated griddle.   The Easter Bunny dropped off a new set of ga...

Good Weekend

And as for the weekend... Friday I was looking forward to a trip to The Woolie Ewe, Saturday my plans include working on the quilting queue and Sunday, I want to enjoy biscuits at breakfast! Well, I managed a trip to the Woolie Ewe after my JC visit (gained a pound; but it is that special bloatie time of the month).   I picked up some more Flounce to make a scarf for my Through The Seasons swap partner on Ravelry.   I also picked up some Triana in olive and purple to make yet another scarf for Mama.    I finished 2 Flounce scarves for her and a Sunday Market Shawl out of Noro Cash Iroha for my Through The Seasons partner.   I need only to weave in ends on these 3 scarves. I didn't get any quilting work done this weekend; but it's in queue.  Instead, I played with sticks and string and got some knitting done.   I cast on Flounce for my Through The Seasons partner this morning.   I also cast-on my red se...

Great weekend

Though my married half is out of town on business, I filled the time with family and crafting so I still had a great weekend.    Friday night, I finished up work and went to my JC appoint where the result of too many Girls Scout cookies and not enough fruits, veggies, or exercise showed up on the scale.  I knew it was coming and the GS cookies were worth it.. and hopefully since the plantar fasciitis pain is easing up due to the at home care and physical therapy along with the cortisone shot, I'll be able to turn up the heat on the activity levels pretty soon.  Then I met Mama with a surprise tagalong of Auntie Jill at Joann Fabrics where I was picking up flannel for backing BFF's trio of baby quilts.   Then we went to Aaron Brothers to pick up Auntie J's custom framing job to find that it was not yet ready as they were backlogged due to the huge sale.  Then off to La Hacienda where I had some great chicken fajitas and enjoyed the company of two...

My Weekend

I split time between Mama's and The Bellamy's Annual Crawfish Boil... played at Mama's for a bit, then to the Boil, then back to Mama's. I got to play with some of my favorite babies.. ok, so some of them aren't so much babies anymore at 2 1/2, 4, and 6.. though I think Jaeda still qualifies as a baby since she is only 10 months.. and what a difference a month makes... at Easter she wasn't quite mobil.. and now she's on the move and can crawl pretty darn quick.    Anyhow, Saturday was good weather, a bit on the cool side, but the pool was heated... and poor Brandon had been waiting all day for Carlos to arrive as apparently the key to pooltime was an adult that would go in... so I whispered to him, you know if you ask Ms Loni nicely maybe she would go put on her swimsuit so we can go play in the pool.    Which immediately prompted the appropriate 6-year old begging.   Well then Mama of the 2 1/2 and 4 year olds got hers ready to go too.. and I found myself...
