How prophetic my earlier musings would turn out to be. I arrived home to find that our Boo Kitty had passed on some time during the day. She was alert and talkative this morning when I left for work; but sadly was gone by the time I got home. It's never easy to lose a pet... especially when they are "seniors" which for kitty cats is Age 8 and beyond... so we were blessed to have her for almost 15 mostly healthy years... other than some dental issues and being diagnosed with Chronic Renal Failure in January, she had been a pretty healthy kitty... not bad for having brought her home as a stray kitten from a local grocery store parking lot. Heaven has another Furry Angel tonight.

A sick elderly kitty and a broken Air Conditioner in the heat of North Texas are not fun! At least the A/C got repaired; blown capacitor; and was relatively inexpensive to fix. For the elderly kitty (age 15), I am guessing that Heaven may have another furry Angel one of these days soon... we can't get her to eat; the vet is perplexed; about the only thing we may want to try is force-feedings thru an NG tube and do we really want to put her thru all that... especially given that she's already a Chronic Renal Failure (CRF) patient too. In the meantime, we keep food down all the time, water bowls filled... but I think she may have had a stroke or just is having kitty cat memory-loss or whatever since now she will only drink off of the shower or bathtub floor.

Here's Tracer (white, Age 20) and Boo Kitty (Torti/black, Age 13) in a pink sweater that I knit. It's a bit big as they can both manage to wrangle out of it when they want to. On cold days, they don't mind it so much.
