Auntie Loni & Vladi

Here's "Auntie" Loni and Vladi (age 2) at big brother's birthday celebration at Pump It Up. This was before Vladi's melt down ~ as he was in bigtime need of a big ol' nap!

Vladi's Vest

Woohoo! I finished sewing the seams on Vladi's new vest... this is a combination of Debbie Bliss patterns and my first venture into multi-colored knitting (other than stripes). This vest features 1x1 ribbed waistband, armbands, and neck band. Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino. I'm working on a pair of baby sox to go with this vest.

SuperBowl Sunday 2007

I'm enjoying watching the SuperBowl and finished Ivan's caterpillar scarf. Miami looks totally miserable with all that rain! Baltimore just intercepted again with 9:55 left in the 4th; score is 29 vs 17, Balti in the lead. Ivan's scarf is in the wash now; made with Red Heart SuperSaver. Madelyn's ballerina wrap is complete except for stitching in the ribbon ties. I'm headed to The Woolie Ewe tomorrow to get advice on how to sew it in. Now going to crochet some preemie caps while I watch the end of the game.

Vladi's Sailboats & Cables Blanket

While I did have trouble with hats for Baby Vladi ... I had no such trouble with his Sailboat & Cables blanket. Here he is at 2 months and at 6 months... my how the little ones grow! This blanket has survived many washings and remains cozy & snuggly . He loves to chew on the corners. This was my first attempt at cables. The pattern is an easy one from Knit Along with Debbie Macomber - The Shop on Blossom Street (Leisure Arts #4132) Paperback: 48 pages Publisher: Leisure Arts (May 15, 2005) Language: English ISBN-10: 1574865102 ISBN-13: 978-1574865103; Made with LionBrand Jiffy.

Baby Vladi Hat 2

Ok, so after I got done laughing over baby Vladi's head stuffed into his too small hat, I made a new hat in more of Santa Style and even added a pompom. He's got a little room to grow in this one!

Vladi's Hat 1

Now since baby Vladimir's mama was on medical leave for what seems like the last half of her pregnancy, I sent her hats to fit everything from a 3 pound preemie to 6 pound preemie and then he ended up nearly full term and almost 8 pounds. A couple of months after his arrival, this was my first attempt at a hat for baby Vladi -- his mama said it would fit; other mamas in our group said it would be too small. I agree with the other mamas, but he's still a cutie!
