From Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino I have loved this pattern ever since I saw it in the book and met the author and saw the sample garment at my local yarn store.   I've actually had the yarn in my stash since the 2008 annual post-Christmas, pre-Inventory sale at my LYS; but just hadn't gotten on needles until now.   Yes, you read that right, it's on needles... and yes, I have other projects on needles, I almost always do... because I like having a mix of projects at various levels because sometimes you just need something for your brain to go on auto-pilot with like a garter-stitch or stockinette stitch baby blanket ~ and other times you need something more challenging for your brain like the Susan Undulating Waves beaded scarf or this multi-cabled teddy bear sweater. In a race with the stork as the shower is this next weekend, here is a scan of Michaela's Cabled Baby Blanket... It's from Debbie Bliss's Simply Baby and was knit with Debbie Bliss baby cashmerino. The cables- a combination of garter stitch and stockinetee- were initially a challenge, but then quite relaxing.

Ok, I finally got the buttons sewn on to this ever so cute vest! This is another Debbie Bliss pattern; this view is of the back as scanned on my scanner. Now to send it thru the wash cycle and package it for her b'day (turning a whopping 1 year old!) along with goodies for her 3 older brothers.
