Well life with an active kitten in the family is never boring. I could have used a little boredom last night. Had to visit the Emegency Animal Hospital of Collin County with Tazzy. I was hoping it would just be over-anxious, over-protective mommy syndrome and that it would just be a strained or sprained foot or ankle or something of that nature... but my gut said it was a break... And the X-rays says... Mommy was right. So now it's 4 to 6 weeks in a splint/kitty cast.. with weekly changes of the cast under anesthesia because he is a growing kitten. The challenge for the next day or so is just to keep him relatively quiet and comfortable. The challenge as he starts to move on and heal from this initial shock, dragged to the vet, x-rayed, poked, prodded, and stuck with an evil cone of doom.. is to try to keep him from running, climbing, jumping.. you know all the things that this high-energy kitten loves to do. So it's relegated to the guest bath of quara...
