Another stamper in the family

In spite of the straight-up middle-of-the-week landing of my birthday this year, I had a great day of celebrations.    Facebook is great for reminding your friends and family near and far, so the birthday well wishes were in abundance throughout the day.   I also received several text messages and emails throughout the day wishing me a Happy Birthday.  I even received a few singing voice mail messages. At the office, I had a surprise of "my little princess" Miss Zelenka coming to deliver a special surprise she had been working on in my favorite color red.   A great hand made card from my little one along with a bouquet of paper roses with Ferrero Rocher chocolates.    I left the office at 1:20 for a personal appointment at 2p; completed that errand and went home to finish up homework for my summer class of Ethics. After I finished off ethics homework that was due late tonight, I worked on part of the homework due on Saturday and then joined family ...

Adventures in Kittenhood or My Little Monkey... Earlier in the week I had discovered some snags in the drapes.   Having two "children" and not having witnessed the offense, I had my suspicions as to which would be the guilty one.  Nana Cheryl said this would happen While I was at the dining room table stamping for some VC Rocks Swaps, a grey ball of fluff came flying past and hit the curtains around 3 feet up which set them to swinging like a little monkey. Then the daredevil climb to the top. Nana Cheryl was right Loves to climb and swing from the drapes The little one likes to come and perch on me at TV time Loves to snuggle up and watch TV Last week's adventures of an aspiring gymnast landed Tazzy in the shower with me. He got a big bath, but I was soon forgiven. He has not done a repeat performance. Forgiven after the unfortunate Shower incident

This week's challenge from Carey was to stamp a project inspired by something from our closet. This is one of my favorite blouses - and though you can't see the sparkle in it very well, it has some shiny sequin-like doo dads on it which tend to shed everywhere. Here's my project using products from Stampin' Up! (of course)... Tazzy loves the new kitty condo; even more when he can "play" with Mocha. He has discovered one of Mocha's favorite windows in the house. Besides the grand sunbeams, it is also a prime spot for watching out for bunnies. Hey Mom, what's up?!   The bratty kitten has also learned how to jump from the mini-plant counter to the top of the shower stall. And like a particularly stubborn toddler or my favorite stubborn Snarky College Kid, once his mind is made up as to what he wants to do.. that's all he wants to do.
